Al-Tarimya District north of Baghdad is considered the weakest security point of the capital. Many terrorist cells are located there and launch their attacks from the district's orchards. The geography of this district provides a safe haven for many criminals.
On Thursday, an Iraqi military operation launched targeting wanted criminals and inspecting those orchards for terrorism equipment.
The operation was led by a joint Iraqi forces of Special Forces Brigade, Armed 37 Brigade, rapid reaction force, federal police, and Popular Mobilization Forces.
