The strategic study center of Al-Furat held a conference to evaluate Iraq’s budgets and funds in 2016. This conference enjoyed the attendance of notable Iraqi academic figures. Dr. Husayn Al-Tu’mah, a university professor at Karbala University and Dr. Hasan Al-Zubaidi, a university professor at Kufa University were also attending this discussion. The mismanagement of Iraq’s oil revenues and the economic reliance on oil were two important points discussed at this conference.
