Iraqi security and medical resources have reported that 21 convicted terrorists were hanged in Al- Nassiryah Prison, southern of the country, on Monday morning.

The accused men, from around the country, were all convicted under the counter-terrorism law for the year 2005 that sentences to death, with no further specific information regarding their crimes.

Iraq is considered one of the biggest five countries that practice the death penalty, according to Amnesty International in statement saying that the country has executed more than 100 person in 2019.
