The Iraqi citizen realized the dangers of the conflicts among the political parties and forces and felt the circle of worry within these groups, taking into consideration that the violence has no great connection inside the society.
On the other hand, any political logic cannot hold the will of the citizen in that direction.
Writer and Journalist Ali al-Talkani pointed that the repercussions of the electoral process exceeded danger-limits on the democratic process and the peaceful transformation of power.
This state of affairs resulted in the electoral violence and terrorist operations that led to burning the ballot boxes and the appointment of new commissioners for the Elections Commission, he added to Annbaa news agency.
He added that the “threats of constitutional vacuum and burning the votes’ documents were messages just to reach a conciliatory agreement, far away from the results of the voting”.
The writer sees that “the electoral crimes aimed to create a state of forgery of the will of the voter and not exposing his real voice in a way that will permit the winning forgeries to reach the parliamentary seats, pointing that
“the re-election is not a solution”, confirming that tense situations, security threats and appointing new judges to replace the commissioners did not meet any cooperation among the political circles.
On the other hand, any political logic cannot hold the will of the citizen in that direction, Talaqani pointed out.
He recognized that “the political forces are trying to find groups that will protect them, but the current social situation realized that this conflict will lead to wars”.
Talaqani continued to say that the wish and vision of the Iraqi voter for the formation of the new government is different from the visions of the politicians.
“If we check the view of the masses, following the alliance between Sa’iroun and al-Fat-h, we will find a courageous opinion that stands against. There is a suppressed popular consciousness that is circulated in private meetings, denoting that the nature of these alliances is against the will of the voters, who started to argue the stands of Sa’iroun before the elections”, he elaborated.
“In the Shiite circles, wide-spread talks are underway on the return of pure Shiite alliance, while the ordinary citizen hoped for cross-sectarian alliance with national attitude”, Talaqani expressed his fears.
On the other hand, he pointed that more four years will pass for a new political process, but questioned if this new government will meet the desires of the citizens in good services, despite the lack of confidence that this will be achieved.
Regarding the journalistic work, Talkani elaborated on the sufferings of the journalists, suppression and muffling expression and threats that will lead to more internal and external feuds, pointing that the Dialogue Forum expresses the feelings of the masses, not through political programmes, that are generated out of daily consciousness, where the conviction is believed that the responsible official is “corrupt”.
According to Talkani, some governmental officials are still reading the media as an agent for anti-groups, or external media organ, as well as sectarian.
“This state of affairs resulted in new armed circles that affected the emergence of strong media”, he added.
“The talk here on parties and personalities who did not believe in criticism or the mission of the journalist”,Talkani concluded.
